Neighborhoods

If your neighborhood has an HOA, that is an ideal place to start the conversation.  At your HOA meeting, make a presentation about the Comal County Friends of the Night Sky, urge your neighbors to visit this website and follow us on Facebook, and hand out the the Lighting Guidelines Questionnaire.  If your neighborhood is active on Nextdoor, that is another great place to spread the word.

The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky was formed in March, 2020 by a group of concerned residents who first met using Zoom. We are working on several initiatives to facilitate night sky friendly lighting in order to preserve and improve the stunning night sky of the Texas Hill Country and Comal County, TX.
