IDA Texas  – IDA’s Texas Chapter works to preserve our heritage of dark skies by promoting the Five Lighting Principles for Responsible Lighting. Join us by joining the International Dark-Sky Association at darksky.org.

Hill Country Alliance  – The Hill Country Alliance (HCA) is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to raise public awareness and build community support around the need to preserve the natural resources and heritage of the Central Texas Hill Country.

Rotary Club of Canyon Lake – The club is an international organization that supports humanitarian missions around the globe in an effort to further peace, prosperity and health for all.

Comal County Conservation Alliance – Working to preserve land, water, and wildlife in Comal Conty.

New Braunfels Astronomy Club  – Since 1998, serving New Braunfels, Comal County, and surrounding areas.

Protect your community from Light Pollution!

The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky was formed in March, 2020 by a group of concerned residents who first met using Zoom. We are working on several initiatives to facilitate night sky friendly lighting in order to preserve and improve the stunning night sky of the Texas Hill Country and Comal County, TX.
