Save our Night Sky! Fight light pollution in Comal County, New Braunfels, Bulverde, Spring Branch, Canyon Lake, Schertz, and Garden Ridge, one light at a time.

Welcome to the Comal County Friends of the Night Sky. Whether you are a resident or just visiting, the night sky is one of the jewels of our beautiful county.  With the exploding growth here, it is imperative that our community work together to fight light pollution in Comal County, New Braunfels, Bulverde, Spring Branch, Canyon Lake, Schertz and Garden Ridge. Through education and awareness, we promote win-win solutions that allow people to appreciate dark, star-filled skies while preserving Comal County’s outdoor lifestyle.  Bright lights are not necessary for safety, security, or business retention and you will find solutions here that will enhance the appearance of your place of business or residence.  If we work together, we will see the stars again!

Our meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at different food and beverage venues around Comal County.

Our next meeting will be a Christmas Gathering on Thursday, December 19, 2024, 7:00 to 9:00 at Wildflour Artisan Bakery and Grill North, 20884 FM 306 Canyon Lake, TX 78133.

Everyone is invited to attend and meet other members of CCFNS and the board of directors.

The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky is now a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization.  Your membership dues and donations are tax deductible.
