Here are our past presentations to various groups around Comal County
On September 11, CCFNS had the pleasure of giving our Preserving the Night Sky and Reducing Light Pollution presentation to Friends for the Preservation of Historic Landa Park. We are thankful for their interest of learning how light pollution affects our environment, heritage, tourism, safety, energy, and health in Comal County and Texas.
In April of 2023, Comal County Friends of the Night Sky (CCFNS) become proud members of Bulverde Spring Branch Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to having the residents and businesses use CCFNS to educate residents of the environmental, health, and economy benefits of preserving our night sky!
The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky was formed in April, 2020 by a group of concerned residents who first met using Zoom. We are working on several initiatives to facilitate night sky friendly lighting in order to preserve and improve the stunning night sky of the Texas Hill Country and Comal County, TX.
