Take Action

1. Become a member of the Comal County Friends of the Night Sky.  We live in Comal County to get away from the city and the city lights – Help us preserve our night sky and rural way of life.
2. Donate to the Comal County Friends of the Night Sky.  Your donations are used to fund our operating expenses.
3. Get Involved with the Comal County Friends of the Night Sky.  There are things that you can do at home right now.
4. Volunteer with the Comal County Friends of the Night sky.  From letter writing to talking to your HOA, there is no end to volunteer opportunities.
5. Join the International Dark-Sky Association.  Be a part of the global effort to preserve the night sky.
6. Survey your lighting and make your home or business dark sky certified!
7. Become a good neighbor.

Protect your community from Light Pollution!

The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky was formed in March, 2020 by a group of concerned residents who first met using Zoom. We are working on several initiatives to facilitate night sky friendly lighting in order to preserve and improve the stunning night sky of the Texas Hill Country and Comal County, TX.
