The Texas Hill Country’s natural beauty is one of the reasons PEC’s service territory has seen unprecedented growth in recent years. This rapid growth comes with the potential to diminish the darkness of our skies at night. However, PEC have taken steps to preserve this natural resource, and help save energy in the process.  The starry night sky is a precious resource that adds to the beauty of the Texas Hill Country and PEC  supports efforts to keep the stars shining bright for all members.  See the article and video here:

On October 13th, the beautiful Hill County City of Spring Branch joined Comal County, Garden Ridge, and Bulverde in proclaiming October as Hill Country Dark Sky Month.
