Bring your lunch and join the Comal County Friends of the Night Sky as we kick off October 2022 as Hill Country Night Sky Month. Light Pollution affects us far more than just our ability to view the heavens, poor lighting practices can affect our health, attract un-wanted wildlife, and even compromise our security. The Comal County Friends of the Night Sky will talk about light pollution and steps we can take to create more effective lighting. Please note lunch is not being provided.

The New Braunfels Astronomy Club invites you to join us at the Tye Preston Memorial Library for Astronomy Night.  Members of the New Braunfels Astronomy Club will bring several telescopes as well as the Clubs Celestron 11" SCT!  For this Astronomy Night, we intend to view the several deep sky objects and some of the planets.

Members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and park staff will be on site with their telescopes to point out the moon, constellations, planets and more. Drop-in any time between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm on 12/03/2022! CCFNS Presentation at the Fischer Store School Community Center - School in Historic District

CCFNS will be exhibiting at the Bulverde Jubilee & Craft Show.  The City of Bulverde will be inviting ten businesses to make their outdoor lighting dark sky compliant.  Our booth will be right next tot he City's table for educational outreach.

CCFNS will Be presenting "Saving the Night Sky" prior to the Star Party at Guadalupe River State Park from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM followed by a star party hosted by the San Antonio Astronomical Association.
